Stephen Waldron Architects in the care sector
In recent weeks we have been looking at a number of commissions across the breadth of Wales in one of our core strength areas – the Health Care Sector.
In Ceridigion, we have been asked to look at a long-term strategic plan to upgrade and extend a Nursing Home.
In Swansea, a nursing home is planning to re-organise and upgrade its layout and provision internally. It is also considering building a new wing with as many new en-suite bed spaces as possible.
We have two further enquiries in the Bridgend area. The first is to design a new 24-bed mental health care home and secondly to convert a large farmhouse house into a specialist facility for young people with special mental health care needs.
Finally we are working on a new extension and general upgrading of provision at an existing client’s nursing home in Swansea, including resolving land title and access issues.
So lots going on! Phew!
